Who is Imad Buljić?

Imad Buljić is a software engineer, team lead, and researcher based in Zenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina. He leads a full-stack delivery team at ENIT/NITES, where he works on workflow orchestration, system integration, and technical coordination in the energy distribution domain. He is completing an MSc at the University of Zenica, and is the author of peer-reviewed research published in IEEE conference proceedings (INFOTEH-JAHORINA, ICECER) and in the Journal of Communications, with further work presented at the 17th Days of BHAAAS in Sarajevo. His research and engineering work centres on distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, backend performance, and reliable AI systems, measured through reproducible benchmarks rather than intuition. He writes about those topics publicly, mentors engineers, volunteers with the Bosnia & Herzegovina Futures Foundation, and photographs under @imads.art.

Research Areas

The work clusters into three areas. Each one has its own hub linking the articles, projects, and publications behind it.

Selected Publications

All Research
  1. Reducing p95 Latency and SLO Violations with ML-Driven Autoscaling

    17th Days of BHAAAS (Sarajevo, 4–7 June 2026) · Jun 2026

Machine-learning-driven autoscaling for latency-sensitive services, targeting tail latency rather than average load: predicting demand ahead of the scaling lag so that p95 latency and SLO violations fall without over-provisioning.

  2. Using Multi-Agent Systems for Predicting and Preventing Natural Disasters

    17th Days of BHAAAS (Sarajevo, 4–7 June 2026) · Jun 2026

Applying multi-agent systems and AI-driven coordination to natural disaster forecasting and mitigation, using distributed agents to gather signals, model risk, and drive earlier preventive response.

  3. Evaluating Legacy and Modern Cryptography on the Web: RSA, Hybrid AES and Ed25519 in Wasm and JavaScript

Journal of Communications · Dec 2025

Performance comparison of browser-side cryptography in WebAssembly vs JavaScript (RSA, hybrid AES–RSA, and Ed25519 across multiple implementations), with Docker-isolated benchmarking and an open dataset/framework.

  4. Comparative Performance Analysis of Leading Backend Frameworks for Developers

    INFOTEH-JAHORINA 2025 (INFOTEH) · Mar 2025

Benchmarking Spring Boot, ASP.NET Core, Express.js, and Django under uniform Docker conditions (JMeter), comparing latency/throughput plus build & deployment time to guide backend framework selection.

Now

Using the summer to prepare for the next season of life. Preparing research papers, I have quite a few of them ready, and I am openly looking for collaborators. Also studying, learning, and trying to keep the momentum going.
